Therefore, those who have already used CT will probably find themselves at ease in using QARTest. Having always been a fan of CT, I decided that I would keep, as far as possible, similar appearance and modes of operation. Given the enthusiasm with which QARTest was received, I decided to release it to public.

In May 2006 the new version was ready, and the contests from IR4M were a success. This time commitment was different: having been invited to join the Romagna Contest Team (IR4M) in both contests, the software should have worked in network, with additional features. Everything worked fine, so I decided to upgrade it to manage the next Contest delle Sezioni and ARI DX International. In December 2005 a first prototype was ready, just in time for the Contest. No bells and whistles needed, but able to manage all the main features with the keyboard.
